TOOLS SPECIALISTS IN SHERBROOKE FOR OVER 50 YEARS

In 1965, Mr. Denis Meunier, originally from Belœil, decided to move to Sherbrooke. In collaboration with Armant Mongeau, he established and developed his tooling business there, which until then had no fixed point of sale. Indeed, at that time, the entire inventory of tools for mechanics was in a truck moving from garage to garage.

A supplier of choice for the industrial sector

In 1990, Mr. Meunier acquired the building at 875, King Street West, a place where commerce had been established for more than 20 years.

In 1995, Centre d'outillage Denis Meunier decided to expand its market share to become a supplier for the industrial sector (manufacturing production, machining, health and safety, lifting equipment, etc.). This sector became the new battleground for the company, which became more and more specialized in this field over the years

In 1997, Mr. Denis Meunier decided to retire and passed the torch to his son Mr. Francis Meunier, who had been working with him for several years. Mr Francis M, in collaboration with Mr. Reynald Moreau and Mr. Alain Legendre, works with rigor and dedication to continue the growth of the family business.

A new growth challenge

In the fall of 2016, a change of shareholders brought a wave of renewal with the arrival of Mr. Sylvain Nadeau and Mr. Yanick C, who bought the shares of Mr. Moreau and Mr. Legendre. This change in ownership is intended to be a first step in the process of developing the company’s notoriety and to consolidate its position as a leader in industrial machinery.

In January 2017, Centre d'Outillage Denis Meunier becomes Meunier Outillage Industriel and the company acquires a new modernized graphic signature with a positioning statement «The inventory at your service». The company’s first-ever website is also created to make it easier for customers to search and provide them with an ever more efficient service.

In October 2017, Meunier Outillage Industriel moved to a new location at 4860, Boulevard Industriel. The new location has a large service counter open to the public and a warehouse that allows for a complete inventory in order to respond quickly to all customers. In addition, the company adds an on-site repair shop to offer additional service to its customers. The goal is to repair what we sell.

In March 2020, Pierre Bélisle and Pierre Cameron joined Meunier Industrial Tools as shareholders of the company. The experience and professional skills of the two new shareholders on the Management Team mark the start of a second phase of expansion. Their aim is to enable the company to reach its full potential with a range of services based on the expertise in tooling and complementary multidisciplinary services. It is in the wake of this growth strategy with which the range of our products and services offered has expanded with, among other things, the addition of the departments of Health & Safety, Handling & Warehousing as well as the brand-new Satellite Store service.

At Meunier Tools, we are committed to supporting our customers with an approach to optimizing their supply chain by using our multidisciplinary expertise at their service.
